Online shopping VS traditional shopping

With the development of science and technology, internet has closely linked to our lives. And online shopping has become a trend. A specialist said” online shopping will replace traditional shopping one day in the future,” really? In general, both online shopping and traditional shopping have some merits and shortages.

First of all, most people are concerned with convenient. For online shopping, all you need to do is sit in front of your computer and rap the mouse gently, and then the merchandise you order will be delivered to you directly. This is especially good for the old, the sick and busy people who cannot shop in person. On the other hand, for traditional shopping, people have to push the transportation and crowd to go from one shop to another. This can waste a lot of energy and time. Moreover, the terrible weather is a big problem.

Secondly, the price between both online shopping is usually cheaper than traditional shopping and does not have the time and region limit. For example, my brother has brought a HP notebook online and he was saved $100. Moreover, this model is already out of stock in the traditional store. In addition, traditional stores have specific hours of operation, but online you can shop whenever you need and wherever you want.

Finally, people also are concerned with the merchandise’s detail and understanding. Online, all you know about that merchandise is only from the contexts or several pictures provided on the computer. Sometimes may not be the same as what you have seen on the computer. But traditional shopping you can see and touch the goods or try them on personally. You can scrutinize it everywhere from top to bottom before you buy it. Everything in traditional shopping is tangible and authentic.

In conclusion, each kind of shopping has its advantages and disadvantages. And, it’s true that sometimes, merits could be shortages, depending upon the perspective you hold. So, whichever you choose, just enjoy your shopping and do whichever you are most comfortable with.
