Jogging outside instead, going to gym

Spring has come to Chicago. I often come across people running on the streets. And, I want to go out on the beautiful day. Walking and running outside make us feel refreshed not only physical health. However, it is difficult to keep running outside regularly because of the weather in Chicago. Therefore, many people may prefer going to the gym. I compare each feature in order to prepare us for a short best season in Chicago.

The first difference is the cost between running on the street and going to the gym. As you know, running on the street is free and easy to go. On the other hand, we need to pay monthly membership to go to the gum. In addition, we may pay on admission depending on the gym.

Secondary, there are different opportunities between running on the street and going to the gym. Running outside is very simple, only we need to do is change clothes. However, weather affects this activity very much. In the winter in Chicago, it is dangerous to run outside because of ice and snow. Even in spring and summer, we have thunder storms in Chicago. In contrast, we do not care about weather when we go to the gym. We can enjoy running and swimming on the day of heavy snow or burning sun.

Finally, these two situations have different kind of fun. Running on the street is fun. We can feel wind, sunshine and the smell of nature. And we may find something new in our neighborhood, like new restaurants and shops. Unlike the streets, going to the gym does not tell us any changes. That is a space cut off from the outside.
After considering all the characteristics, I cannot choose one of them. I want to keep both and make my choice depending on the day. Now is the best season for running in the streets, I recommend you to do it. When winter comes, let’s shift to the gym
